Description:

When your loved one can no longer speak, recognize faces, or move independently, it is easy to feel lost and heartbroken. This workshop offers gentle, practical guidance for navigating the final stage of dementia. We will focus on shifting the goal from “treatment” to “comfort” and finding meaningful ways to connect without words.

You will learn:
• Recognizing end-of-life signs and transitioning to palliative care.
• Managing common late-stage complications (dysphagia, infections, aspiration pneumonia).
• Mouth care, skin integrity, and positioning for immobile patients.
• Supporting families through the dying process and grief.
